We had the opportunity to do five amazing stop motion spots for Uber. Ben Roehl and I set up motion controlled cameras on a custom build rig. I 3D printed walk cycles and key poses for the characters in each spot. I then 3D scanned the set pieces designed by Kiel Johnson and layed out the scenes in Maya so our digital artists could animated the spots before the shoot. By using real world scale and matching the lens we were able to use the digital animation as an onion skin while animating on set.
